Getting started

Which devices work?

Any iPhone Pro or iPad Pro with LiDAR (iPhone 12 Pro and newer Pro models). Non-Pro iPhones can still use PaintRover with manual measurements.

Do I need an account?

No — you can use PaintRover offline without signing up. Create a free account when you want quotes synced to the cloud and across devices.

How long is the free trial?

PaintRover is free during the App Store launch period. Pricing details will be shown in-app before any subscription begins.

Can I customise my rates?

Yes. Set your paint, primer, and labor rates in Settings — every quote uses them. You can also override per-quote.

Scanning

Scan tips

Walk slowly. Aim the phone so walls, doors, and corners all enter the view. LiDAR works best in good lighting and at 2–3 m from the wall.

Can I edit the scan?

Yes — after scanning, you pick which walls and ceiling to include. You can rename walls, adjust door/window counts, and re-scan if needed.

Multi-room quotes

Scan the kitchen, then tap "+ Add room" inside the quote to add the living room. PaintRover combines them into one PDF with a per-room breakdown.

Account & data

How do I delete my account?

Email support@aldinworks.com from your account email. We delete all your data within 7 business days.

Where is my data stored?

Locally on your device, plus your private workspace on Supabase if you have an account. Row-level security means only you can read it. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I export my data?

Yes — every quote can be exported as a PDF and shared via email, Messages, or Files. Bulk export of all data is available on request.
